What days is the Ramayana Ballet at Prambanan?

What time does the show start and finish?
The regular show starts at 19:30 and finishes around 21:00. Arrive 30–45 minutes early for ticket validation and to find your seat.

From November to April it is indoors at Trimurti Theatre. From May to October it is outdoors at the Open Air Theatre, with Prambanan Temple as the backdrop. Outdoor performances may move indoors if it rains.

Can I buy only the ticket without transport?

Is hotel pickup included?
Yes, pickup and drop-off within Yogyakarta city are included. Areas outside the city, including Yogyakarta International Airport, are available with an additional charge.
What should I wear?
Smart casual is fine. Comfortable shoes are useful because you may walk around the temple complex before the show. Bring a light jacket for the outdoor season.
Is the show suitable for children?
Yes, but some scenes include dramatic music, fire and battle scenes. Children should stay with an adult, and the show may be long for very young children.
What happens if it rains?
Outdoor performances may be relocated to the indoor theatre. The official ticket provider decides whether the show continues; we follow their policy and keep you informed.
